Whats wuauclt exe

In a search I found it in three places. As long as I am able to run System Mechanic when I start up my computer I can shut is down, it is getting worse every day,but what is the remedy. I do not want to erase Windows-auto update. It appears to be doing exactly what is talked about here. Thanks for the info here. John Burgess, I agree it would be stupid for a virus to desquise itself as that. Any for those i reccomend to download avast free antivirus and do a full in-depth scan just to make sure!
