Free thermal modeling software
Imagine no more trial runs for heat treating new parts!! The information needed to begin a new thermal analysis of a furnace could be as little as time temperature profile and some basic information of the parts to be processed. The software then calculates part temperature during heating and cooling cycles. It also performs Heat Loss Calculations to determine power input, energy consumption and operating cost for a typical run. The applications of convection are numerous and include LED heat sinks, light bulbs, electronics cooling , refrigerators or indoor cooling.
Radiative heat transfer, or radiation is the transfer of heat through electromagnetic waves. In product design, radiation usually starts to play a role in high temperatures. A well-heated part releases its energy to the ambient environment in form of a radiative heat tranfer. The emissivity value depends on the surface type. Radiation can therefore be used to analyze a heat loss in high-temperature components. Explore all of the possibilities you have with thermal simulation and heat transfer analysis.
The SimScale Community gives you access to completed public simulation projects. See SimScale in action as a heat transfer simulator for uses across the globe. I have used a lot of simulation packages over the past 25 years, including Nastran, Ansys, SolidWorks, and a whole host of others.
I have been using SimScale for about nine months now and it has become my goto simulation tool. It allows me to run models larger than I have ever conceived on my own workstation. Thermal and fluid flow analysis software package with capabilities for solving thermal and flow problems for many different industries and applications.
ThermoFlo uses a 1D Systems modeling approach which allows the user to use a component based approach rather than creating a full 3D model. These components can be based on empirical correlations, testing, or other data. This approach allows for rapid prototyping and testing for interchanging different components in a system or for tweaking properties of the model and it's components.
Unlike in the 3D approach, geometrical changes are potentially as easy as changing a single value in the model. However, if a more detailed component is desired, ThermoFlo allows for incorporating 3D models into the system of other 1D components. Full Specifications. What's new in version 4.
